After 23 days of without any new COVID-19 case reported, on the evening of March 6th, Vietnam confirmed the 17th case of a 26-year-old female, named N.H.N, residing at 125 Truc Bach, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi. In two consecutive days, from the 7th to the 8th of March, 13 infectious cases were reported in Vietnam, and among them, up to 10 cases were on the same flight number VN0054 with the 17th patient from London to Noi Bai airport.

After rapidly indicating the F1 target who closely contacted the infected patient, F2 (contacted with F1), and F3 (contacted with F2); the Ministry of Health has successfully isolated these targets. As of March 9, Vietnam has nearly 18,500 people quarantined and medically monitored, including 531 quarantined cases in hospitals, over 8000 isolated people in communal facilities, and others at home.

- Wear facemasks properly.

- If there is any development of fever, coughing and difficulty breathing, inform the public health authority immediately to get the medical advice promptly as this may be due to a respiratory infection or other serious condition.
- Eat, sleep, and use separated belongings with family members during quarantined at home to avoid cross-contamination.
