First aid in case of electric shock

When children or anyone get shocked, we need to keep calm to handle the situation. Do not use bare hands to pull out the shocked person, but use dry objects such as shoes, broomstick, wooden sticks, etc. to push people away from the power source, then call a health institution immediately or take them to an emergency assist.

 

Some notes of first aid while waiting for an emergency to:

- If the child is awake, loosen the clothes to make it easier to breathe.

- If the child loses consciousness, check whether the child's circulatory respiration is still active. If it no longer shows any sign of breathing, immediately take measures of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR):

Step 1: Put the child on his or her back, place a soft pillow or clothes under the vertebra of the neck so that the baby's head is facing back.

Step 2: Open the child's mouth if the tongue is indented, pull out, clean the food (if any) to let the airway clear.

Step 3: Place hands on top of each other at 1/3 of the breastbone area and press into chest 5 times.

Step 4: After resuscitation of the heart and lungs, switch to rescue breathing. If blowing into the mouth, cover the nose and vice versa. Just blow while observing to see if the baby's chest rises.

Step 5: Every 2-3 times to give Mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, pressure the victim's heart 4-6 times. Perform these operations repeatedly until your baby shows signs of alive.

Step 6: Then quickly transfer the victim to the hospital.
